Youth Industrialists Committee Participates in "Talent Zone" Initiative to Empower National Talents in Damascus
With a firm commitment to empowering national talents and bridging the gap between academia and the labor market, the Youth Industrialists Committee of the Damascus and Countryside Chamber of Industry marked a prominent presence in the "Talent Zone" project. The initiative was organized by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) and EMBS Company at the UN headquarters. Through this participation, the committee aimed to put the expertise of industrial professionals at the service of students and graduates, supplying the labor market with specialized skills that meet future aspirations.
The Youth Industrialists Committee plays a leading role in providing comprehensive advisory support to youth seeking a foothold in the labor market. The support tracks included showcasing the inspiring journeys of young industrialists to transfer real-world practical experience, and introducing students to workplace regulations, expected market challenges, and strategies to overcome them. Furthermore, during its participation, the committee highlighted the Chamber's employment platform and introduced attendees to the Training and Qualification Center located in Adra Industrial City.
The committee's involvement extended beyond guidance and counseling to leading the evaluation process. It joined a joint evaluation panel featuring experts from UNRWA, the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority, and EMBS Company to evaluate more than 110 participating projects—most notably in informatics, automation, and mechanics. This massive turnout reflects the volume of national talent capable of fueling the industrial sector with qualitative innovations
