Betting on the younger generation and marking an official launch that reflects the future vision of the Damascus and Countryside Chamber of Industry, the Young Industrialists Committee held its first meeting of 2026. The meeting was chaired by Engineer Mohammad Ayman Al-Mawlawi, Chairman of the Chamber, to unify visions and formulate practical projects that place emerging talents at the heart of economic decision-making.Al-Mawlawi opened the meeting by emphasizing the primary and effective role that youth play in the current phase, particularly within reconstruction efforts after liberating from the effects of the former regime, stressing their vital participation in developing the national industry. Al-Mawlawi also pointed out the importance of youth familiarizing themselves with various labor-related laws to be fully aware of them.The meeting—which was attended by Mr. Karim Al-Khoja, Member of the Chamber’s Bureau and Chairman of the Young Industrialists Committee; Mr. Anas Traboulsi, Board Member of the Chamber; and Mr. Mohammad Wasim Saad, Director of the Chamber—witnessed a vote to select the administrative positions for the committee. By vote, the following members were chosen: Mr. Ayham Jalal Soukarieh as Vice Chairman of the Committee, Obadah Al-Mawlawi as Secretary, and Zaid Trabishi, Tariq Al-Subei, and Esraa Hamdan as members of the Committee’s Bureau. This is alongside the committee members: Aghiad Mohammad Khaldoun Daaboul, Mohammad Maher Rankousi, Ammar Traboulsi, Basel Al-Mufti, Esraa Haitham Hamdan, Hisham Ajaj, Amr Al-Kasm, Ahmad Shehadeh Agha, Mohammad Abdullah Al-Zayed, Haitham Bassam Anini, Bayan Wael Al-Barazi, Maysour Bilal Al-Harash, George Abu Nassar, and Yassin Al-Hamwi.During the meeting, Mr. Karim Al-Khoja provided a brief presentation on the committee’s goals, mission, vision, and the purpose of its establishment within the Chamber to serve as a collective action platform that supports young industrialists and enables them to contribute effectively to the industrial sector. This was followed by an extensive and constructive discussion among the members regarding the committee's vision, priorities for the coming phase, proposed work mechanisms, and ways to enhance collective participation to develop a clear action plan to be presented in future meetings, with an agreement to rely on practical projects submitted by the members themselves
