The Syrian-Jordanian Business Council held its first foundational meeting, chaired by Dr. Imad Adnan Al-Nann, Chairman of the Council, and attended by:Dr. Abdul Nasser Seijari – Vice Chairman of the Council.Dr. Malik Daaboul – Vice Chairman of the Council.Mr. Nashat Khaled Al-Rifai – Secretary-General.Dr. Hussein Mounjer – Executive Director.Mr. Ihsan Abdul Salam Al-Shawaf – Director of Public Relations.The meeting was held within the framework of launching the council's operations and establishing the institutional foundations for a new phase of economic cooperation between the Syrian Arab Republic and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.During the meeting, the participants reviewed the council's vision, mission, and strategic goals. They discussed and approved several core pillars, including the organizational structure, action plan, membership system, and the formation of specialized committees, in addition to endorsing the upcoming phase's work program.The attendees emphasized that the council will serve as an effective economic platform gathering businessmen and businesswomen from both nations. It aims to support trade and investment, foster economic partnerships, and address challenges facing the private sector to serve mutual interests and strengthen brotherly relations between Syria and Jordan.Furthermore, the council discussed the schedule of official visits to government and economic entities in both countries to enhance institutional cooperation and build strategic partnerships with various stakeholders. Additionally, they initiated preparations for organizing the First Syrian-Jordanian Economic Forum, which is set to become a leading platform for economic dialogue, joint initiatives, and the launch of collaborative projects.This meeting follows the decree issued by the Ministry of Economy and Industry in the Syrian Arab Republic to form the Syrian-Jordanian Business Council, and the adoption of its charter by the Syrian Council for Coordinating Business Councils.
