The Syrian-Jordanian Business Council Discusses Industrial Integration and High-Speed Rail Project with Irbid Chamber of Industry
A delegation from the Syrian-Jordanian Business Council, led by the Council’s President, Dr. Imad Adnan Al-Nan, and joined by the Council’s Secretary-General and President of the Daraa Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Nashat Al-Rifai, paid a visit to the President of the Irbid Chamber of Industry, Mr. Hani Abu Hassan, and his fellow election winners. The delegation congratulated them on gaining the confidence of industrialists, wishing them success in developing the industrial sector and boosting investment and production.
The Council emphasized the strategic and industrial importance of Irbid Governorate in strengthening Syrian-Jordanian cooperation, developing industrial integration and supply and export chains, and expanding partnership and joint investment opportunities.
Furthermore, the Council stressed the necessity of overcoming obstacles facing the movement of goods, upgrading the transport and logistics network between the two countries, and exploring future strategic initiatives, including the high-speed rail concept.
In this context, the Council affirmed its keenness to involve the Irbid Chamber of Industry and its industrialists in the proposed Jordanian-Syrian Economic Forum. This forum is envisioned as a platform to present investment opportunities, develop executable joint projects, enhance networking among businessmen and industrialists, and follow up on initiatives that serve the economic interests of both countries.
