The First Syrian-Emirati Investment Forum Concludes in Damascus to Forge Strategic Industrial Partnerships
The Damascus Chamber of Industry and its countryside participated as part of the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Industry delegation in the activities of the First Syrian-Emirati Investment Forum. Organized by the Syrian Investment Authority at the Damascus Congress Palace, the delegation was led by Dr. Mazen Deirwan, Chairman of the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Industry.
The forum was inaugurated by Dr. Nidal Al-Shaar, Syrian Minister of Economy and Industry, who praised the restoration of confidence and the distinguished relations between the two nations. He called for leveraging the forum to establish sustainable partnerships that foster stability and prosperity. In turn, Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade, emphasized the mutual will to achieve real integration through investment projects across all sectors, urging a transition from dialogue to tangible action.
Special Session and Industrial Cooperation:
A specialized meeting was held between the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Industry and an Emirati delegation representing the UAE Chambers, Dubai Chambers, Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Fujairah Chamber.
The Syrian delegation highlighted the competitive advantages of Syria's investment environment, including modern legislation, a skilled workforce, and vast opportunities in:{C}

Outcomes and Future Steps:
The Emirati side welcomed the Syrian proposals and recommended the creation of a comprehensive "Investment Guide" featuring practical data and statistics to provide a clear roadmap for Emirati investors. They also encouraged Syrian participation in international exhibitions hosted by the UAE to promote Syrian exports. At the conclusion of the meeting, the Emirati delegation offered to host and train Syrian personnel on international work systems and standards
