A delegation from the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Industry participated in the 20th General Assembly meeting of the Hama Chamber of Industry. The delegation was headed by Dr. Mazen Deirwan, Chairman of the Federation, and included board members Mr. Osama Al-Omar, Dr. Ibrahim Mously Al-Kurdi, Mr. Imad Taha Al-Qassem, Eng. Mohammad Raafat Shammaa, and the Federation's Director, Mr. Khaldoun Dado.The meeting was attended by the Vice Minister of Economy and Industry, Eng. Basel Abdul Hanan, the Governor of Hama, Mr. Abdul Rahman Al-Sahyan, the Chairman of the Hama Chamber of Industry and Vice Chairman of the Federation, Mr. Asaad Kajoun, along with a large crowd of industrialists from Hama city.The meeting reviewed the achievements of the Hama Chamber of Industry over the past year and discussed the upcoming action plan to support and develop the industrial sector, as well as enhance the investment and production environment in the governorate.In his speech at the meeting, Dr. Mazen highlighted the activation of the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Industry through its new board of directors, which aims to guide Syrian industry toward global markets. He also presented the Federation's work vision and emphasized the importance of cooperation among chambers to empower the Syrian industry. Furthermore, he outlined the Federation's demands to reduce industrial production costs, noting the recent reduction in fuel oil (mazout/fuel) prices, as well as demands to simplify export procedures, cancel cargo transshipment at land borders, and abolish the "Turn Office" (Maktab Al-Dour) system for freight.The meeting featured a discussion with the industrialists covering the most prominent challenges facing the operations of industrial facilities, while emphasizing the importance of strengthening coordination between government entities and the industrial sector in general
