Syrix Jeddah 2026 Exhibition: A Strategic Platform to Enhance Syrian-Saudi Economic Partnerships

In preparation for the launch of the "Syrix" exhibition in Jeddah, the Bride of the Red Sea, and on the path toward writing a new success story for Syrian industries on Saudi soil, a preparatory meeting was held at the headquarters of the Damascus and Countryside Chamber of Industry. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Anas Traboulsi, Board Member of the Chamber and Chairman of the Exhibitions Committee, and attended by representatives of the participating ministries (Tourism, Agriculture, Social Affairs and Labor, and Culture). The purpose of the meeting was to finalize all logistical and administrative arrangements for the participation of government entities in the upcoming "Syrix Jeddah" exhibition, scheduled to take place in Jeddah from September 8 to 11, 2026.During the meeting, Mr. Anas Traboulsi emphasized that the "Syrix Jeddah" exhibition serves as a specialized economic platform aimed at establishing sustainable commercial and investment partnerships. He clarified that the exhibition does not target direct retail sales to consumers; instead, it focuses on sealing wholesale deals and securing major commercial orders. Furthermore, it aims to bring together business leaders and entrepreneurs from both Syria and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in a business environment that facilitates the exchange of expertise and the establishment of strategic partnerships, ultimately boosting bilateral trade volume and solidifying the presence of Syrian products in Gulf markets. The meeting addressed various organizational and logistical aspects of government participation. Attendees reviewed shipping mechanisms for the participating materials and goods, evaluating both land and air freight options to guarantee timely deliveries with the highest standards of efficiency and safety.Participants also discussed the allocation of pavilions and booths reserved for the participating ministries. The Damascus and Countryside Chamber of Industry announced the provision of free booths for each ministry to showcase investment opportunities, projects, and services offered to investors, thereby highlighting Syria’s competitive investment potential. As part of the exhibition's accompanying program, it was decided to allocate an independent panel discussion for each government entity to present incentives, facilities, and procedures supporting investment, fostering direct communication with investors and business leaders.Furthermore, within the accompanying cultural program, a proposal by Ms. Shaza Barakat, representative of the Syrian Women’s Association, was adopted to organize a seminar titled "The Land of Sham... The Cradle of Civilizations." This seminar aims to highlight Syria's cultural and humanitarian heritage, projecting its image as a nation with a deeply rooted history and an economy capable of reclaiming its regional and international standing. The meeting concluded with an emphasis on the importance of completing all executive procedures according to the set timelines and enhancing coordination among all participating entities. This ensures that the Syrian participation appears in the best possible manner, achieving the desired economic and investment goals of "Syrix Jeddah 2026", which stands as a vital milestone for strengthening Syrian-Saudi economic relations and opening new horizons for national industry in Gulf markets
