Syriatex Exhibition for Textile Industries in Damascus: Complete Digital Transformation and Arab Export Expansion
Mr. Anas Traboulsi, Board Member of the Damascus and Countryside Chamber of Industry and Head of the Exhibition Committee, confirmed that the first edition of the "Syriatex" exhibition, specializing in textile industries, is witnessing a qualitative shift in its management and organization through a full transition toward digitization and automation.
Traboulsi explained that the organization of the exhibition relied on modern electronic systems that allow participants to choose and book their pavilions and confirm their locations via dedicated digital platforms, ensuring the highest levels of transparency and organizational smoothness.
Speaking about the export dimension and external exhibitions, Traboulsi highlighted the significant focus on opening and reclaiming new export destinations for Syrian products. He noted the intensive presence of businessmen and visitors from brotherly Palestine, along with the provision of facilities and logistical solutions to facilitate the shipping of Syrian goods to it.
He added that the Chamber is working to expand its geographical scope to reach new markets, such as the Libyan market targeted in the second edition, which is scheduled to be held between November 26 and 29 of this year.
Regarding the diversity of Arab participation, Traboulsi revealed that they welcomed visitors and businessmen from about 10 Arab countries, most notably: Palestine, Iraq, Lebanon, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Jordan, underscoring the ability of the Syrian textile industry to regain its regional status
