Syrian Industry Makes a Strong Comeback to International Forums at "Beauty Istanbul 2026
In a step reflecting the return of Syrian industry to the global stage, the Syrian Arab Republic is participating with a national pavilion in the "Beauty Istanbul 2026" exhibition after years of absence from international events. Organized by the Damascus Chamber of Industry and its Countryside, the pavilion features several Syrian industrial companies specializing in cosmetics and personal care.
The opening ceremony was attended by Mr. Karim Al-Khoja, board member; Eng. Wafaa Abu Labda, board member and head of the chemical sector; and Mr. Anas Traboulsi, head of the exhibitions committee. The Syrian pavilion secured a prominent location in Hall 7, one of the largest halls in the exhibition, which hosts participants from over 195 countries.
Eng. Wafaa Abu Labda stated that this participation is a vital step toward restoring the presence of Syrian industry internationally, noting that the high visitor turnout on the first day reflects growing confidence in Syrian products and their ability to compete. She added that the presence of the Syrian pavilion among 1,400 exhibitors underscores the strength of national industries.
Mr. Karim Al-Khoja emphasized that Syrian industrialists have continued to produce despite challenges, highlighting quality and flexibility as core strengths. He noted that the exhibition provides a significant opportunity to build new partnerships and open export markets.
