In order to discuss commercial exchange between Syria and Algeria, Dr. Mazen Deirwan, Chairman of the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Industry, received His Excellency Mr. Abdelkader Qasmi Al-Hasani, Ambassador of Algeria to Damascus, and his assistant, Mr. Mohamed Bahloul.The Chairman of the Federation welcomed His Excellency the Ambassador and expressed full readiness to cooperate and communicate with all authorities to increase the level of trade exchange with Algeria. The two sides then discussed ways to develop economic relations between the two countries to serve industrial and commercial synergy and integration, noting that the current volume of trade does not reflect the strong brotherly relationship between the two nations.His Excellency the Ambassador highlighted the radical transformation in the Algerian economic climate, its significant openness to the world, and the aspiration to build economic relations with a new vision between Syria and Algeria. He also highlighted the formation of the Syrian-Algerian Business Council from both sides, alongside a proposal to organize a Syrian-Algerian business forum for discussion and cooperation in all possible fields.As a practical step, it was proposed to hold exhibitions for Algerian industries in Syria and for Syrian industries in Algeria, as well as to establish discussion forums for businessmen from both sides. The Algerian Embassy expressed its full readiness to provide all possible facilities to ensure the success of such activities
