The Board of the Damascus and Countryside Chamber of Agriculture held a meeting chaired by Mr. Mohammad Jannin. The session focused on activating the Chamber's role in revitalizing the agricultural sector through three primary pillars:
Consumer Support: Expanding the "From Producer to Consumer" initiative to eliminate middlemen and provide commodities at reduced prices in the local market.
Producer Empowerment: Providing production inputs at competitive prices and supporting rural women's projects and small-scale agricultural industries.
Export Activation: Overcoming obstacles for exporters to enhance the reach of Syrian products to international markets, with a focus on modern agricultural technologies.
Jannin emphasized that the Chamber is working to achieve a balance that ensures fair profits for farmers while meeting citizens' needs with high quality and affordable prices
