Within the framework of strengthening integration between academic institutions and the industrial sector, and to achieve sustainable economic development in the Hama Governorate, the Hama Chamber of Industry signed a joint Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Hama University. This strategic agreement aims to support young human resources and direct the scientific research ecosystem toward finding practical solutions that serve the industrial and production fields.The MoU was officially signed by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Hama Chamber of Industry, Mr. Asaad Kajoun, and the President of Hama University, Professor Dr. Abdul Karim Qalb Al-Loz. The signing ceremony was attended on behalf of the university by the vice presidents, the university secretary, and several college deans. Representing the Chamber were the Vice Chairman of the Board, Dr. Muhammad Al-Khaled, board member Dr. Imad Adi, the Director-General Mr. Abdul Aziz Ourabi, and the Director of the Training and Rehabilitation Center, Dr. Ahmed Kurdi.The joint memorandum focuses on achieving a set of tangible, practical steps across four main pillars:1. Supporting Students and Graduates for the Labor Market:The Hama Chamber of Industry is committed to providing specialized training courses and exclusive financial discounts at its affiliated Training and Rehabilitation Center. The agreement also aims to create direct employment channels for graduates by linking their academic and professional profiles with the actual needs of industrial facilities in the governorate.2. Providing an Integrated Student Working Environment:The memorandum includes equipping a dedicated, student-friendly space inside the Chamber's training center. This space will be supplied with all essential logistical services and high-speed internet, allowing students to conduct their scientific activities and readings at symbolic, affordable prices.3. Directing Scientific Research and Field Training:Both parties will work together to identify the technical and production challenges facing industrialists and present them as vital topics for graduation projects, Master's, and Doctoral theses. This ensures the delivery of innovative and applicable scientific solutions. Furthermore, regular and structured field visits will be organized for students to operating industrial facilities to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical reality.4. Laboratory Cooperation and Local Product Development:Hama University opens the doors of its specialized laboratories to conduct the necessary chemical, physical, and microbiological analyses to develop local products, improve their quality, and enhance their competitiveness. This is in addition to providing the training programs required to upgrade the efficiency of the technical staff working in industrial facilities.This significant step establishes a sustainable organizational framework that helps elevate the skills of youth and provides scientific and practical solutions. These solutions will strengthen national industry capabilities and meet the evolving demands of the field, positively reflecting on both the economic and educational sectors in the governorate
