With the aim of enhancing the digital presence of industrialists and expanding their reach to international markets, the Chairman of the Damascus and Countryside Chamber of Industry, Eng. Muhammad Ayman Al-Mawlawi, and the Co-founder and CEO of the "Tajir" platform, Mr. Obada Al-Laham, signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This agreement ushers in a new phase of support for exports and digital businesses, in the presence of Mr. Abdullah Al-Zayed, Secretary of the Chamber; Mr. Adham Al-Tabbaa, Treasurer of the Chamber; Mr. Karim Al-Khoja, Board Member; and Mr. Anas Traboulsi, Board Member.This collaboration seeks to enable industrialists registered with the Chamber to maximize their utilization of digital tools, e-commerce, and digital marketing, contributing to developing their businesses and expanding their access to local, regional, and international markets.This MoU comes in recognition of the importance of digital transformation as a fundamental pillar for developing the industrial sector and boosting its competitiveness. The agreement is valid for one full year, automatically renewable, and is built around several key pillars:Support for "Syrex Jeddah" Exhibitors: The "Tajir" platform is committed to providing a comprehensive, completely free 6-month support package for industrialists participating in the "Syrex Jeddah" exhibition. This includes creating an independent online store and a dedicated website for each beneficiary at no cost during the support period. It also includes providing full technical support to set up and configure the stores, assisting with product and data entry, and offering guidance to present their brand identity professionally to exhibition visitors and potential partners.Free Training Program: Under the memorandum, "Tajir" will implement a free training program consisting of workshops tailored for Chamber members. These workshops will cover vital topics such as building digital presence strategies, e-commerce store and sales management, digital marketing, best practices in online selling, and how to utilize artificial intelligence tools in e-commerce.Discounts and Consultations: The platform commits to offering special discounts of up to 30% on annual subscriptions for industrialists affiliated with the Chamber who are nominated or referred through its events and programs. The agreement also opens the door for launching joint initiatives and offers in the future. Furthermore, "Tajir" will provide technical and technological consultations to the Chamber's staff and contribute to developing programs and initiatives aimed at raising awareness about the importance of digital transformation in the industrial sector.For its part, the Damascus and Countryside Chamber of Industry is committed to coordinating with industrialists and facilitating their communication with the platform. Additionally, the Chamber will promote training workshops and joint activities to ensure its members achieve maximum benefit, cooperate in organizing and executing joint events, and raise awareness of the importance of digital presence and e-commerce among its members
