The Damascus Chamber of Industry and its Countryside signed a joint memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Syrian-Kuwaiti Business Council to unify efforts in supporting the Syrian Industries Exhibition series, "SYREX." The signing ceremony was attended by Eng. Mohamed Ayman Al-Moulawi, Chairman of the Chamber; Yasser Al-Rakkad, Chairman of the Syrian-Kuwaiti Business Council; Adib Ghazi, Vice President of the Council; and Wassim Saad, Director of the Chamber.This agreement aligns with ongoing preparations for the SYREX exhibition, scheduled to take place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on August 17, 2026. The MoU focuses on transforming the exhibition into a mobile export platform to promote Syrian products in foreign markets, particularly in Kuwait and the GCC, by creating a sustainable environment for business partnerships and B2B meetings.Under the agreement, the Damascus Chamber of Industry will handle organization, management, quality control of participating products, and logistical coordination. Meanwhile, the Syrian-Kuwaiti Business Council will promote the exhibition within Kuwaiti economic circles, attract importers, and coordinate trade delegation visits. The memorandum is valid for three renewable years and covers all future exhibitions within the SYREX series globally
