Strategic Alliance Between Damascus Chamber of Industry and Damascus University to Revitalize the Textile Sector
The Chamber of Industry of Damascus and its Countryside held a coordination meeting led by Eng. Muhammad Ayman al-Moulawi with a delegation from the Textile Industries Department at Damascus University. The meeting focused on the preparations for the International Textile Industry Conference scheduled for next October, with international participation from Turkey and Pakistan.
Discussions centered on bridging the gap between academia and industry through a "Problem-Solution" methodology. It was agreed to provide field training for students within factories and refer technical manufacturing obstacles to university experts for scientific solutions. Furthermore, the meeting emphasized protecting national products through specialized academic studies to rectify customs tariffs and modernize industrial laws to support the growth of this historic sector
