The international training course on "Governance and Management for an Integrated Social Security in the Arab Region" concluded its activities in the Italian city of Turin. The event witnessed the participation of the Damascus and Countryside Chamber of Industry, represented by Eng. Wafaa Abu Labdeh, a member of the chamber's board of directors and head of the Industrial Businesswomen Committee. Representatives from several Arab and regional countries also took part, including Syria, Jordan, Iraq, Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco, Palestine, the Sultanate of Oman, Egypt, and Turkey.The course offered participants an opportunity to exchange experiences and successful practices among the participating nations, and to review advanced international models in managing social security systems. Additionally, it discussed modern trends related to legislative and institutional reforms, as well as mechanisms to develop social dialogue among various economic and social partners.At the conclusion of the international training course, Eng. Wafaa Abu Labdeh emphasized that this participation constituted an important opportunity to enhance knowledge and exchange expertise with representatives of Arab and international institutions and bodies. She pointed out that the outcomes of the course contribute to supporting efforts aimed at building a more stable and sustainable work environment, and enhancing integration between economic development and social protection.She added that the Damascus and Countryside Chamber of Industry continues its openness to specialized international programs that would develop the capabilities of the industrial sector and enhance its contribution to achieving sustainable development goals, which positively reflects on the business environment and the national economy.The course concluded its sessions by stressing the importance of strengthening regional cooperation and exchanging expertise among Arab countries.
