The President and board members of the Damascus and Rural Damascus Chamber of Industry marked a notable presence and wide participation in the panel discussions held on the sidelines of the "Private Sector Dialogue Conference" in Damascus.The first session of the closing day was attended by Eng. Mohammad Ayman Al-Mawlawi, President of the Chamber, alongside Eng. Wafaa Abu Labdeh and Dr. Radwan Abdeen, board members of the Chamber.The Chamber's participation in this panel, which focused on "The Role of International Partners in Supporting the Syrian Private Sector," aimed to reaffirm the Chamber's pivotal role in shaping shared visions that support the business environment and contribute to promoting sustainable economic development.Furthermore, the Chamber participated in the session titled "Regional Trade Integration: Syria-Jordan – Enhancing Cross-Border Trade Between Syria and Jordan." This session was organized by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) – Regional Bureau for Arab States, and its offices in both Jordan and Syria.The session, attended by Eng. Mohammad Ayman Al-Mawlawi, Eng. Wafaa Abu Labdeh, and Dr. Radwan Abdeen, discussed key topics including the opportunities and challenges related to enhancing regional trade flows and economic integration, particularly between Syria and Jordan. The discussion focused on driving a regional dialogue that highlights the role of the private sector as a main driver for economic recovery, resilience, and joint cooperation. Additionally, it identified mechanisms to facilitate cross-border trade, stimulate investment, and rebuild regional value chains, which positively impacts support for exports, small and medium enterprises (SMEs), and joint business networks
