Proactive Steps for Digital Transformation and Workforce Support... Youth Industrialists Committee Meets at the Damascus and Rural Damascus Chamber of Industry

Balancing youth ambitions with actual market needs, the Youth Industrialists Committee at the Damascus and Rural Damascus Chamber of Industry has taken a proactive step toward the future of the industrial sector. From the "Talent Zone" exhibition to comprehensive digital transformation plans, the committee turned its regular meeting into actions rather than words, announcing a package of qualitative decisions impacting both industrial operations and human capital alike.
The meeting, chaired by Mr. Karim Al-Khoja, Chamber Board Member and Head of the Committee, alongside Mr. Anas Traboulsi, Chamber Board Member and Head of the Exhibitions Committee, began by reviewing and discussing the positive outcomes of the committee’s remarkable participation in the "Talent Zone" employment fair. They highlighted the wide public engagement and interaction at the Chamber's pavilion. Discussions then transitioned to upgrading the Chamber’s dedicated employment platform to efficiently meet the technical and administrative staffing needs of factories and industrial plants. Consequently, an executive decision was made to map out leading recruitment agencies and platforms to initiate joint memoranda of understanding that serve the industrial sector.
In a related effort to support human resources, the meeting paid great attention to vocational education support projects. Additionally, committee members planned an official field visit to the Chamber’s Adra Training and Qualification Center to review current programs and discuss mechanisms to align them with the practical needs and requirements of industrialists.
To keep pace with technological advancements, the committee emphasized the importance of establishing an integrated vision for the comprehensive digital transformation of Chamber services and linking them to the official website. This digitalization will cover membership renewals, the employment platform, and the exhibitions platform. The committee recommended forming a joint task force comprising representatives from both the Chamber's Board of Directors and the Youth Industrialists Committee to oversee and approve this vital project.
The meeting also featured interactive and recreational activities, as the Youth Industrialists Committee pitched the idea of establishing a corporate football league. During the meeting, a presentation was delivered for a competitive and promotional football tournament dedicated to industrial companies, featuring teams representing each company on five-a-side pitches. A working meeting has been scheduled to finalize the details of this project with the corporate football league's organizing company
