Participation of in an Advanced Arab Program in عمّان to Strengthen Social Insurance Management and Institutional Capacity Building

The Damascus and Rif Dimashq Chamber of Industry participated, represented by Engineer وفاء أبو لبدة, Member of the Chamber’s Board of Directors and Head of the Chemical Sector, in the advanced second phase of the training program titled “Social Insurance Management for Arab Countries.” The program was held in the Jordanian capital Amman with the participation of a distinguished group of specialists, experts, and representatives of institutions concerned with social security and insurance systems from several Arab countries, including Palestine, Jordan, Qatar, Lebanon, Iraq, and Egypt.

The program aimed to develop technical and administrative competencies and build capacities within the social insurance sector, while enhancing the exchange of expertise and experiences among Arab institutions in a way that contributes to improving performance efficiency and raising the quality of services provided to beneficiaries.

The program also focused on the latest global practices in social security management, mechanisms of digital transformation, risk management, prevention and control of evasion and fraud, the financial sustainability of insurance funds, contribution collection, benefit payments, and the handling of complaints, grievances, and appeals. In addition, it addressed good governance and investment governance frameworks.

The program activities included training sessions and interactive workshops that discussed common challenges facing insurance systems across the region, alongside the presentation of practical and applicable solutions that strengthen joint Arab cooperation in this vital field.
