The National Private Sector Dialogue Conference concluded after three days of discussions and specialized sessions that brought together private sector representatives and decision-makers, with the participation of the Damascus and Rural Damascus Chamber of Industry, represented by its Chairman, Engineer Mohammad Ayman Al-Mawlawi, and several board members.
Participants emphasized that the conference marked an important step toward strengthening public-private partnerships and establishing practical foundations to support economic recovery and improve the investment climate in Syria.
The conference identified several key priorities, including simplifying administrative procedures, modernizing the banking sector and supporting small and medium-sized enterprises, streamlining customs procedures and enhancing exports, institutionalizing dialogue between the public and private sectors, and aligning education outcomes with labor market needs while empowering youth and women.
The final statement also stressed the importance of prioritizing productive investments in the industrial, agricultural, and technology sectors. Participants announced the preparation of a detailed report containing recommendations and follow-up mechanisms, along with the formation of a joint committee to ensure that the conference outcomes are translated into practical measures that contribute to the stability and growth of the Syrian economy.
