The Minister of Finance wrote on his personal page:"In response to the proposals and feedback from the business sector, we have issued a decree today to amend our previous Decision No. 637, dated April 29, 2026, regarding the collection of tax advances. The key amendments include:The tax advance on importers of industrial production inputs has been reduced to 1%.The tax advance on importers of essential food items has been reduced to 1%.The tax advance on importers of essential agricultural sector inputs has been completely abolished.The collection of the tax advance will now be based on the customs tariff line rather than the importer's status, in order to eliminate shell companies.The exemption from paying the advance has been reaffirmed for imports by entities already exempt from income tax.At the Ministry of Finance, we constantly strive to respond to constructive proposals that serve the interest of the economy and support the business sector
