Chaired by Mr. Mohammad Jannun, Chairman of the Damascus and Rural Damascus Chamber of Agriculture, the Chamber's office held its weekly meeting. During the meeting, the most prominent initiatives launched last week aimed at stimulating the agricultural sector and enhancing local production were reviewed.
Discussions focused on the "From Producer to Consumer" initiatives, which contribute to alleviating burdens on citizens, in addition to supporting export operations that strengthen the presence of Syrian products in foreign markets and directly support the national economy.
The attendees also discussed preparatory plans to launch new initiatives during the Holy Month of Ramadan, with the aim of increasing market efficiency, controlling prices, and meeting citizens' needs during this important period of the year.
The meeting emphasized:
The importance of continuous cooperation between farmers and relevant authorities.
Supporting national production and improving product quality.
Achieving a real balance between the interests of the producer and the consumer.
Enhancing the Chamber's role in developing the agricultural sector.
The meeting concluded by stressing that joint work and permanent coordination between all parties is the foundation for achieving the Chamber’s goals, supporting farmers, and contributing to market stability and serving the national economy.
