The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Lattakia Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Anas Joud, accompanied by several board members, attended the launching ceremony of the first tourism cruise from Lattakia Port to Beirut, Larnaca, and Mersin. The cruise operates aboard the ship "Cedar Waves," owned by the Lebanese Abou Merhi Group, as part of a project aimed at revitalizing maritime tourism and boosting tourism activity in Lattakia Governorate.The opening ceremony was held under the auspices of Lattakia Governorate, the General Authority for Land and Maritime Borders, and the Ministry of Tourism, represented by the Minister of Tourism, Mazen Salhani. The event saw the participation of numerous official, economic, and tourism figures, representing a significant step toward developing the maritime tourism sector and opening new horizons for investment and related services.Mr. Anas Joud emphasized that the launch of this maritime tourism line represents a qualitative addition to the governorate's tourism product. He noted that it contributes to stimulating economic, commercial, and tourism activities, while providing new opportunities for projects and services related to transport and tourism.
