The Daraa Chamber of Commerce and Industry, represented by the Chairman and members of the Chamber's Board of Directors, participated in the launch of the first "Houran Summer" Festival. The event was officially opened this evening by the Minister of Culture, Mr. Mohammad Yassin Saleh, and the Governor of Daraa, Mr. Anwar Taha Al-Zoubi.The officials toured the pavilions of the festival, which was strategically located at Al-Saraya Square in the Al-Mahatta neighborhood of Daraa city. This venue was chosen to revitalize life in the area after it had suffered heavily from the destruction left behind by the defunct regime. The officials praised the extensive participation of economic entities and the diverse range of products on display, which meet the needs of citizens at competitive prices.Approximately 100 commercial and industrial entities are participating in the festival, which runs until the 24th of this month. The exhibition showcases a wide variety of goods, including food products, electrical appliances, household items, clothing, stationery, and more.Turnout was remarkably high from the very first moments of the festival's opening. The majority of citizens expressed their appreciation for holding such an event, noting that it provides them with a great shopping opportunity at competitive prices.In a statement to the Chamber's media office, Mr. Nashat Al-Rifai, Chairman of the Daraa Chamber of Commerce and Industry, highlighted that the Chamber is providing all available forms of support for such festivals. He emphasized that these events serve as an ideal platform to promote locally manufactured products and foster competition in both quality and price. He added that hosting the festival in Al-Saraya Square is a strategic step toward reviving the city center, encouraging local merchants to rehabilitate their damaged shops and resume their businesses.It is worth noting that the governorate has provided free transport services for the first and second days of the event.
