Lattakia Chamber of Commerce and Industry Discusses Enhancing Cooperation and Amending Economic Laws

The Trade Committee and the Industry Committee of the Lattakia Chamber of Commerce and Industry held their second joint meeting. This comes within the framework of enhancing joint coordination and cooperation, and following up on issues and files of interest to both the commercial and industrial sectors. Most notably, the meeting focused on strengthening the relationship with the Directorate of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection, raising awareness among traders and industrialists regarding their rights and duties, and developing products to minimize, as much as possible, the supply violations registered against facilities in the market. Additionally, they aimed to work with the Ministry of Economy to amend old regulations of the directorate to match the country's current economic development.

The meeting discussed a number of ideas and proposals related to joint activities that could be implemented during the coming period. It also examined practical steps and work mechanisms capable of developing cooperation between the two committees, thereby contributing to supporting business owners and enhancing the commercial and industrial business environment.

This meeting serves as a continuation of the first meeting, reaffirming the importance of ongoing coordination and establishing practical, implementable steps for the upcoming period
