Mr. Anas Deeb Joud, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Lattakia Chamber of Commerce and Industry, received a delegation from the Arab Federation for Leather Industries. The delegation was headed by Mr. Samer Ramadan, Acting Secretary-General of the Federation, and attended by Mr. Yahya Al-Ismaeel, Director of the Media, Communication, and Public Relations Department, along with several members of the General Secretariat. This visit aims to strengthen communication with Syrian chambers and economic entities, and to evaluate the current status and needs of the leather industries sector.The meeting addressed the current reality of the leather, footwear, and leather products industry, as well as the challenges facing workers in this sector. Additionally, both sides discussed opportunities for cooperation, partnership, and investment to contribute to the development of the leather industry and enhance its competitiveness.The two parties also discussed cooperation opportunities in training, qualification, and the development of technical and specialized skills, leveraging the Federation's expertise. Furthermore, they explored ways to enhance communication between manufacturers, producers, and relevant economic authorities.This visit comes within the framework of boosting direct communication between the Federation, chambers, and economic entities. It also aims to explore the potential for developing joint programs and initiatives that respond to the sector's needs and support the development of leather industries and local producers
