With promising horizons that extend beyond traditional rehabilitation to sustainable empowerment, and in conjunction with the signing of a strategic memorandum of understanding aimed at enhancing integration between civil society organizations and the productive sector, the Humanity Aid and Development association (HAND), in cooperation with the Ministry of Economy and Industry and the Damascus and Damascus Countryside Chamber of Industry, launched the "Job Fair Day" event. Hosted by the Vocational Training Center in the Al-Qaboun area of Damascus, the event is part of the "Al Ghurair Growth Resources" program dedicated to vocational training and employment.The event featured an extensive field tour that included Mr. M. Mohammad Ayman Al-Maulawi, President of the Chamber; Saad El-Din Mouqat, Executive Director of the Association; Karim Al-Khawaja, Chamber Bureau Member; Anas Traboulsi, Chamber Board Member; Wassim Saad, Director of the Chamber; alongside several representatives from both sides. The tour aimed to review the workflow and mechanisms implemented across the center's various departments. This step allows national enterprises and companies to conduct direct, individual job interviews with qualified graduates based on pre-scheduled appointments that align with the specific specializations and actual staffing needs of each company in the labor market.On the sidelines of the tour, representatives of the association revealed the adoption of a unified and officially accredited training path across all its complexes located in the governorates of Damascus (Al-Qaboun), Homs, and Aleppo, primarily aimed at preparing, qualifying, and vocationally empowering young cadres. They explained that the program targets youth aged between 18 and 38, where trainees underwent intensive programs comprising 300 specialized training hours covering vital fields and essential professions lacking in the local market, including sewing, home electricity, plumbing, painting and insulation, as well as aluminum works.This training path relies on a balanced methodology that meticulously combines theoretical training with practical application to ensure graduates acquire comprehensive expertise that places them directly on a professional track. Representatives of the association emphasized that this project transcends the traditional concept of training to extend into direct and organized networking with private sector companies and factories. They stressed their full commitment to following up on this process entirely, from interviews to guaranteeing real and sustainable job opportunities for all trainees, which represents the cornerstone and primary goal of the entire training ecosystem in supporting economic recovery and building national capacities
