We draw the attention of esteemed industrialists and commercial entities to the letter from the Ministry of Economy and Industry, which includes a notification from the International Food Safety Authorities Network (INFOSAN) of the World Health Organization (WHO).
A report has been received indicating cases of Salmonella contamination in some exported national products (Halva and Tahini).
In order to protect the reputation of the Syrian product and ensure consumer safety, we urge you to strictly adhere to the following measures:
Prior Notification of Export: All exporters must head to the Directorate of Internal Trade in their respective governorates to fill out the special forms and have official samples drawn before shipping to ensure the safety of the material.
Water Sterilization: It is necessary to use sterilization tablets for water used in manufacturing, in appropriate proportions, especially if the sources are not guaranteed.
Packaging Sterilization: Use effective sterilization techniques (such as Ultraviolet - UV radiation) on production lines to ensure the safety of the containers.
General Hygiene: Constantly wash and sterilize production lines and commit to wearing face masks during work.
Raw Material Analysis: Conduct periodic analysis of raw materials and water to ensure a safe final product.
The reputation of the Syrian product is a collective responsibility; we request full cooperation to maintain the quality of our products in international markets.
