Adra Industrial City in rural Damascus recently experienced significant water accumulation in several factory basements and public squares. This was caused by heavy rainfall and flash floods flowing from surrounding areas, requiring urgent intervention from Civil Defense teams in cooperation with the city administration to pump out water and address the damage. Samer Al-Samaeel, Director General of the Industrial City, stated that the flooding resulted from intense precipitation within a short period, which overwhelmed the drainage networks. Technical teams immediately responded to ensure that industrial operations continued, with plans underway for immediate maintenance and long-term infrastructure development to prevent future occurrences
