The Hama Chamber of Industry received a delegation from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), which included Mr. Yasser Al-Eissa, Director of the Central Region Office, and Ms. Taghrid Ismail, the Technical Officer for the Economic Development Sector. The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Board and the Director General of the Chamber. The meeting provided a platform for direct dialogue to explore cooperation and practical pathways linking the potential of the local community—specifically youth and women—with the needs of industrial facilities in the governorate. Discussions focused on leveraging the Chamber’s knowledge of private sector requirements, integrating it with the UNDP’s coordinating and technical role in on-the-job training inside facilities, and connecting small business owners to production and supply chains. This session serves as an initial coordination and consultation step to exchange ideas and identify shared field opportunities and challenges. It aims to establish realistic foundations preparing for an expanded workshop that brings together all relevant stakeholders.Joint discussion sessions will continue in the coming period to follow up on the development of these visions, ultimately serving the business and production environment in Hama Governorate
