Grey Gold" in the service of the national economy—this is what was embodied in the meeting that brought together Eng. Muhammad Ayman al-Mawlawi, Chairman of the Damascus and Countryside Chamber of Industry, with Dr. Muhannad Malik, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the "Syrian Technocrats" Foundation, accompanied by Mr. Wael Hamwi, Legal Advisor, and Mr. Muyassar Baghdadi, Chief Financial Officer of the foundation. During the meeting, they agreed to establish a joint working mechanism to employ a wide network of experts to support and develop industrial and entrepreneurial projects.During the meeting, Dr. Muhannad Malik stressed that the foundation seeks to link Syrian scientific capabilities and expertise abroad with the economic and developmental reality inside the country. He pointed out that national minds and competencies in Syria represent the "grey gold" and the true wealth of the nation. He added that the foundation’s business incubator includes a vast network exceeding 2,400 experts, 60% of whom are expatriates and 40% inside Syria, working voluntarily to support and develop more than 15 qualitative projects in the fields of industry, agriculture, and technology. In the same context, and out of belief in the importance of innovative solutions and projects established inside Syria, the foundation signed a cooperation agreement with the Ministry of Higher Education to transfer theoretical and applied projects from academic laboratories and convert them into investment projects and real job opportunities, in coordination with the chambers of industry and commerce, reflecting directly on the advancement of production and the national economy.For his part, Eng. Muhammad Ayman al-Mawlawi expressed his happiness and pride in seeing Syrian expatriate competencies returning to offer their expertise and contribute to development. He explained that transferring global experiences and implementing them locally represents an essential step toward making a tangible difference in institutional and economic performance. Al-Mawlawi expressed the chamber's full readiness for cooperation and partnership with the foundation, as well as its continuous support for innovative ideas and applicable entrepreneurial projects, stressing the importance of coordination to reach correct executive mechanisms that serve the national industry.At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties agreed to establish a joint working mechanism to identify the technical, engineering, and administrative priorities and needs required by the industrial sector, in order to direct technocratic studies and solutions toward them, serving to strengthen the national industry and increase its competitive efficiency
