From Recommendations to Action: Damascus Chamber of Industry Moves Forward with Export Support and International Exhibitions
A delegation from the Chamber of Industry of Damascus and its Countryside, headed by Eng. Muhammad Ayman al-Moulawi, Chairman of the Chamber, met with the Director General of the Authority for the Development and Support of Local Production and Exports, Mr. Manhal al-Fares. The meeting focused on ways to enhance support for the Syrian industry and develop mechanisms to advance national exports.
The meeting follows up on the outcomes of the "National Industry Solutions Lab Forum" organized by the Chamber earlier this year. Both parties emphasized the importance of translating recommendations into practical steps that contribute to supporting local production and enhancing the competitiveness of Syrian products in foreign markets.
The two sides discussed the mechanism for reactivating the National Digital Registry for Exporters and the importance of organizing the registration process for industrialists within the specified period. They also focused on simplifying administrative procedures to organize the export process and increase its efficiency, while exploring the possibility of providing incentives and facilities to support industrial exporters.
The meeting also addressed the importance of organizing international exhibitions, particularly the "Syriax" exhibition planned to be held in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. These exhibitions serve as vital platforms for opening new markets for Syrian products and strengthening their regional presence.
The delegation included Mr. Abdullah al-Zayed, Secretary of the Chamber; Mr. Adham al-Tabba, Treasurer; Mr. Raeif Shbeia and Mr. Karim al-Khoja, board members; and Mr. Anas Traboulsi, board member.
During the visit, the delegation handed over the recommendations booklet resulting from the "National Industry Solutions Lab" workshops, affirming the commitment to building on these outputs and transforming them into executive programs that support the industrial sector and meet the requirements of the upcoming phase
