Today, I was pleased to participate in the Syrian-Lebanese economic meeting held at Tishreen Palace in the capital, Damascus. The meeting was attended by His Excellency the Syrian Minister of Economy and Industry, Dr. Nidal al-Shaar, His Excellency the Lebanese Minister of Economy and Trade, Mr. Amer al-Bsat, Engineer Talal al-Hilali, Head of the Syrian Investment Authority, along with Engineer Issam Ghariwati, Dr. Laila al-Samman, and Mr. Riad Obegi.The meeting addressed the facilitation of entry for Syrian businessmen into Lebanon to boost exchange, including studying the possibility of allocating a "VIP Lane" for them at border crossings.During the session, I proposed the necessity of facilitating exchange between the two countries through the mutual recognition of documents and the acceptance of laboratory analysis results from both parties for food and non-food items requiring testing
