Within the framework of efforts to develop economic and investment relations, a delegation from the Turkish association "Igiad" visited the headquarters of the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Industry. The association operates in the field of business ethics and entrepreneurship, having successfully brought business ethics onto the global business agenda. The delegation included the Chairman of the Association's Board, Mr. Hussein Akshad, and board members Mr. Vasfi Akdeniz and Nesat Sindur.The delegation was received by Dr. Mazen Deirwan, Chairman of the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Industry, Engineer Ahmed Mahdi Al-Khader, a board member of the Federation, and Khaldoun Dado, the Director of the Federation.Mr. Akshad pointed out that the association was established 23 years ago with the aim of developing business ethics, focusing on spreading integrity among businesspeople, and raising a generation with high moral standards. He noted that the association includes more than 400 members representing various economic activities, some of whom already operate within Syrian markets.After welcoming the guest delegation, Dr. Mazen Deirwan highlighted the importance of ethics in all types of business, emphasizing that honesty and a good reputation are economically viable and endure over a lifetime, while focusing on the strength of work ethics for Syria. He also requested that the Federation be provided with a list of member companies interested in working in the Syrian market, categorized by their specializations, to circulate them among the Syrian Chambers of Industry.Mr. Ahmed noted that Syrian workers who worked in Turkey gained strong experience that helps returnees integrate into the labor market and contribute their expertise to the Syrian economy. He proposed creating a shared digital platform that brings together parallel federations to achieve tangible results in their joint work.During the deliberations, requests were made to facilitate the movement of businesspeople, allow the entry of Syrian trucks into Turkey, and increase banking and insurance cooperation to encourage and boost investments between the two countries.
