Damascus Chamber of Industry Participates in JobGate5: Professional Empowerment and Direct Links to the Labor Market

Between professional empowerment and direct linkage with the labor market, the Damascus and Its Countryside Chamber of Industry is actively participating in the "JobGate5" employment forum, held at the Seven Gates Hotel in Damascus (Umayyad Hall) on September 8 and 9, 2026, opening new horizons for youth and job seekers that combine advanced training with real operational opportunities.

 

On the sidelines of the event, Mr. Waseem Saad, Director of the Chamber, emphasized that this participation comes for the second consecutive year to highlight the services and opportunities available to youth and job seekers. He explained that through this event—organized by the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor in cooperation with the Institute of Human Resources Management (IHRM)—the Chamber aims to present two main services: introducing the new Vocational Training and Qualification Center in the Adra area, which offers specialized and comprehensive professional courses in various fields, including welding, solar energy, computer science, advanced computer software, programmable logic control (PLC), occupational safety and health, and many other skills required in the job market; and introducing the recruitment platform established by the Chamber to act as a direct link connecting job seekers with industrial employers, allowing young people to submit job applications and industrialists to list their staffing and expertise needs.

 

In conclusion, the Chamber Director noted that through this participation, the Chamber aims to bridge qualification and training with securing actual job opportunities, inviting all visitors and interested parties to visit the Chamber's pavilion to benefit from the available services and platforms
