Damascus Chamber of Industry Discusses Challenges and Future Strategies for the Chemical Sector
In a step reflecting the ambition of industrialists to overcome current challenges, an extensive meeting was held at the headquarters of the Damascus and Countryside Chamber of Industry. The meeting included heads of sub-committees for the chemical sector, chaired by Eng. Muhammad Ayman Maulawi, Chairman of the Chamber, and Eng. Wafa Abu Labdeh, Board Member and Head of the Chemical Sector.
The attendees proposed organizing a major industrial conference under the patronage of the President of the Republic to serve as a platform for discussing sector obstacles. They also highlighted the importance of targeting African markets to open new export channels

-
Cosmetics: Advocated for adopting the Global Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) certificate and simplifying product registration procedures.
-
Hygienic Paper: Stressed the need to control "unknown source" products and reduce financial burdens on raw materials.
-
