Engineer Muhammad Ayman al-Mawlawi, President of the Damascus and Countryside Chamber of Industry, received Mr. Samer Ramadan, Assistant Secretary-General of the Arab Federation for Leather Industries in Syria. The meeting was attended by Mr. Adham al-Tabbaa, Treasurer of the Chamber, as well as Mr. Raeef al-Sbeai and Mr. Karim al-Khawaja, board members of the Chamber.Both sides discussed mechanisms to enhance joint cooperation to support the Syrian leather industries sector and expand its presence in foreign markets. Special focus was placed on increasing the participation of Syrian companies in specialized international exhibitions, foremost among which is the "Syrex Jeddah" exhibition.The attendees agreed to draft a cooperation memorandum between the Damascus and Countryside Chamber of Industry and the Arab Federation for Leather Industries. Additionally, they agreed to establish a dedicated cooperation protocol for specialized exhibitions and events to boost promotional opportunities for national products.During the meeting, Mr. Samer Ramadan reviewed the workflow implemented to organize, host, and facilitate the entry of Syrian businessmen into Turkey to visit specialized exhibitions. He explained the advantages and services provided by the approved protocol with Turkish exhibition organizing companies for both participating delegations and visiting businessmen.He also presented an overview of the most important Turkish exhibitions of interest to the Syrian industry, highlighting the efforts exerted to open new channels of cooperation with several Arab countries, particularly Libya and Algeria, to support the export process of Syrian industries.For his part, Engineer Muhammad Ayman al-Mawlawi confirmed the readiness of the Damascus and Countryside Chamber of Industry to provide various forms of support and cooperation in organizing delegations of Syrian businessmen to participate in foreign exhibitions. He also welcomed receiving foreign delegations visiting specialized exhibitions held in Syria, in addition to supporting initiatives aimed at developing the leather industries sector, which is renowned locally and globally for its quality and craftsmanship
