In a step to enhance economic and technical cooperation between Syria and Jordan, Eng. Muhammad Ayman Al-Mawlawi, President of the Damascus and Rural Damascus Chamber of Industry, received at the chamber’s headquarters Jordanian businessman Ahmed Farhouda, Chairman and General Manager of the Jordanian "Matrix Business Technology" company, which specializes in IT solutions and digital transformation. The meeting was attended by Mr. Karim Al-Khaja, member of the chamber's bureau, and Mr. Wasim Saad, Director of the Chamber.
Meeting Discussions and Technical Development
Both sides discussed prospects for joint cooperation in digital transformation and upgrading the technical infrastructure. The meeting also addressed ways to transfer advanced technological expertise to serve the Syrian industrial sector, ensuring its efficiency is raised and its competitiveness is enhanced in local and regional markets.
The Importance of Digitalization in the Current Stage
Eng. Al-Mawlawi emphasized that deploying modern digital technologies in management and production has become an urgent necessity. He pointed out that the chamber seeks to expand its partnerships with specialized tech companies to improve the business environment and develop services provided to manufacturers.
Jordanian Expansion in Damascus
For his part, Ahmed Farhouda reviewed the expertise of "Matrix Business Technology" in implementing comprehensive automation projects, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence applications. Farhouda announced the opening of an official headquarters for the company in Damascus, confirming its full readiness to support and develop Syrian industrial institutions.
Future Steps: Joint Technological Forum
At the conclusion of the meeting, the two sides agreed to launch a specialized forum that combines digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and industrial mechanization. This upcoming event aims to keep pace with global developments and support economic development in the region
