In an effort to inject new blood into the backbone of the economy and manufacture a new, young leadership generation, the Damascus and Countryside Chamber of Industry has begun executing practical steps on the ground to activate the "Young Industrialists Committee."Within this context, the Chamber's headquarters hosted the first phase of direct interviews with a number of young industrialists who had applied to join the committee. The sessions were chaired by Mr. Karim Al-Khoja, a member of the Chamber's bureau and head of the committee, in the presence of Mr. Waseem Saad, the Chamber's director. These interviews formed an initial dialogue space to link the energy and enthusiasm of youth with the experience and wisdom of veteran industrialists, contributing to building a promising generation of young industrialists for the days to come.Discussions centered around training the new generation to participate in future economic decision-making. Interactive questions and themes were directed at the applicants, focusing on the nature and scale of their current productive industrial activities, as well as their knowledge and familiarity with the laws governing economic and industrial movement in the country. Additionally, the interviews measured their awareness of the real difficulties and obstacles faced by industrialists on the ground today, alongside the initiatives and out-of-the-box visions these young people possess to solve existing problems and overcome challenges
