Mr. Nashat Al-Rifai, Chairman of the Daraa Chamber of Commerce and Industry, accompanied by Mr. Hani Abu Hassan, Chairman of the Irbid Chamber of Industry, and several Syrian investors, met with the Governor of Irbid, Mr. Firas Abu Al-Ghanam, to discuss ways to strengthen joint cooperation and support mutual investments.During the meeting, the Governor of Irbid highlighted the depth of the fraternal and historical relations uniting the people of Syria and Jordan. He noted that the Kingdom has embraced its Syrian brothers as one people, welcoming both Syrian investors and industrialists. He pointed out that most of these Syrian investments expanded from the Jordanian market into global markets. Furthermore, he stressed that the administrative authority operates under supreme royal directives to overcome all obstacles facing investors and industrialists, serving as an effective and continuous link between the private sector and all relevant authorities.For his part, the Chairman of the Daraa Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Nashat Al-Rifai, emphasized that Jordan is a land of safety and security, praising the safe and stable investment environment in the Kingdom. He noted that Jordan possesses a modern and civilized investment law that respects capital and removes obstacles to its growth. He expressed his deep appreciation for Jordan’s hosting of the Syrian people and investors, highlighting the excellent treatment and care they receive under the direct guidance of His Majesty King Abdullah II. He added that many Syrian industries have established themselves in the region thanks to this secure atmosphere, the excellent global reputation of the Jordanian market, and the supportive, motivating legislation provided by the Jordanian state.On his end, the Chairman of the Irbid Chamber of Industry, Mr. Hani Abu Hassan, affirmed that the chamber works in close coordination with the administrative authority to remove all obstacles facing the industrial and investment sectors. He explained that this integration directly contributes to driving economic growth and facilitating business operations for investors. Abu Hassan also mentioned that the chamber had previously signed a twinning agreement with the Daraa Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which has been successfully translated on the ground through tangible industrial achievements that have positively benefited both the Jordanian and Syrian sides
