The Aleppo Chamber of Industry, in cooperation with the Directorate of Finance and Mitraq Organization, held an economic dialogue seminar entitled "Administrative and Financial Reform in the Directorate of Finance in Aleppo" at the headquarters of the Chamber of Industry. The event was attended by a large crowd of industrialists, official and economic figures, and interested parties.The seminar was opened by Mr. Imad Taha Al-Qasim, Chairman of the Aleppo Chamber of Industry, with a speech in which he emphasized the importance of this seminar in explaining many tax topics, decisions, and legislation. He highlighted the Directorate's efforts to enhance trust with taxpayers, raise tax awareness, and foster mutual cooperation between taxpayers and financial departments to safeguard the rights of both parties. He noted the Chamber of Industry's keenness to hold dialogue seminars on various economic topics of interest to industrialists, economic activities, and other entities, contributing to achieving a resilient economy and harmony between the taxpayer and the tax administration.During the seminar, which was moderated by Dr. Alaa Qoli, head of the Mithaq Organization, Mr. Abdullah Razzouk, Director of Finance in Aleppo, gave a comprehensive explanation of the Directorate of Finance's efforts to develop work, tools, and procedures. He emphasized that these measures aim to protect treasury funds and ensure that taxpayers are not subjected to any injustice or grievance. He pointed out that all the Directorate's doors are open to receive everyone and respond to any complaint or grievance to enhance trust with taxpayers. Furthermore, he noted the genuine activation of appeal and objection committees, alongside expanding the role of department representatives to strengthen partnership and achieve tax justice.The seminar witnessed extensive dialogues between industrialists, attendees, and the Director of Finance, covering numerous financial, tax, and administrative issues. Attendees presented several observations and inquiries regarding tax operations, emphasizing the importance of working as one team where the taxpayer is a partner and a key party rather than an accused entity.
