In a step embodying the spirit of cooperation between the Chambers of Industry and Commerce, and reflecting a shared desire to strengthen partnerships that serve both production and development, the Aleppo Chamber of Industry, in cooperation with the Aleppo Chamber of Commerce and the Mithaq Organization, hosted a specialized panel discussion titled "Aleppo's Leadership Presence." Held at the Aleppo Chamber of Industry headquarters, the event brought together official and academic figures alongside a select group of industrialists and merchants. The primary goal was to foster dialogue, exchange perspectives, and debate the key challenges facing industrial and commercial activities, while identifying viable solutions to optimize the business environment and bolster national production. Mr. Imad Taha Al-Qasim, President of the Aleppo Chamber of Industry, emphasized that industry and commerce are two complementary components of a single ecosystem. He noted that both entities work hand-in-hand to overcome obstacles, drive comprehensive economic revitalization, and advance self-management by leveraging all available expertise, capacities, and resources. Furthermore, he outlined the Chamber’s ongoing initiatives to promote national products, upgrade their quality, enhance their market competitiveness, and collaborate with all relevant stakeholders to serve the best interests of the industry and national economy. For his part, Mr. Mohammad Saeed Sheikh Al-Kar, President of the Aleppo Chamber of Commerce, pointed out that open-market policies present a valuable opportunity to boost competition and stimulate investment. He also highlighted collaborative efforts aimed at championing domestic products, reducing production costs, and securing a stronger presence for local goods across various markets. The symposium featured pivotal contributions from attendees, who analyzed the current economic reality and put forward constructive visions, ideas, and solutions. These discussions centered on accelerating economic recovery and reaffirming a shared responsibility to solidify Aleppo's role as a driver of growth and a cornerstone of the national economy—an objective requiring synchronized efforts. Participants unanimously concluded on the vital importance of maintaining direct, ongoing dialogue among economic actors.
