In a distinctive initiative by the Aleppo Chamber of Industry to support vocational education and training and supply the industrial sector with qualified technical personnel, Mr. Emad Taha Al-Qasim, President of the Aleppo Chamber of Industry, accompanied by Mr. Mohammad Zizan, a member of the Chamber's Board of Directors, and Mr. Ali Hantoush, the Public Relations Representative at the Ministry of Economy and Industry, along with officials from the Directorate of Education, visited the building of the Fifth Industrial High School in the Al-Marjeh neighborhood. The visit aimed at restoring and equipping the school through the Chamber of Industry in cooperation with several businessmen and industrialists registered in the Chamber. In the first phase, the third building and its adjacent hall will be equipped and rehabilitated to enter the education and training process by the beginning of the next academic year.This initiative by the Chamber serves as the beginning of an integrated project aimed at transforming the destroyed buildings of the mentioned high school into a joint educational, training, and productive institution. This institution will qualify human resources and provide consumer products through organized investments in coordination with the Ministry of Education. Work is currently underway to draft the governing agreements in this regard.In this context, representatives from the International Labour Organization (ILO) were invited to review the project and discuss potential contributions to achieving a model institution for education and training.It is worth noting that this high school is one of the largest industrial high schools in Aleppo, with a capacity exceeding 1,000 students. In the initial stage, approximately 300 students will be accommodated, ensuring they are provided with appropriate training and qualification halls
