Within the framework of strengthening Syrian-Jordanian economic relations and expanding future cooperation horizons, Mr. Imad Taha Al-Qasim, Chairman of the Aleppo Chamber of Industry, received today Mr. Sufyan Al-Qudah, Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to Syria, accompanied by Engineer Wael Askar, Head of the Neighboring Countries Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates. The meeting was attended by Dr. Mazen Deirwan, Chairman of the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Industry, alongside members of the board of directors of the Aleppo Chamber of Industry.The Chairman of the Chamber of Industry presented an overview of the current industrial and economic reality, highlighting the chamber's continuous efforts to support and develop the industry to restore its leading role. Al-Qasim expressed a mutual aspiration to enhance economic relations with Jordan, noting the positive impact this would bring to both sisterly countries and their peoples, given the deep-rooted brotherly ties connecting them.For his part, the Jordanian Ambassador praised the vital role and efforts of the Aleppo Chamber of Industry, wishing the board of directors success in executing its important duties. Ambassador Al-Qudah pointed out that the embassy’s goal is to cultivate a sound environment for businessmen in both countries, paving the way for genuine partnerships, joint work, and projects across various fields, in addition to facilitating the entry of Syrian businessmen into Jordan.The Jordanian Ambassador also revealed plans to establish a joint economic forum, focus on organizing joint exhibitions, address various customs matters based on the principle of reciprocity, and upgrade the Nasib-Jaber border crossing. He reaffirmed the embassy's full readiness to clear obstacles and facilitate all procedures related to Syrian industrialists and businessmen.The meeting concluded with an extensive discussion on several economic topics aimed at strengthening bilateral relations, improving the investment climate, and serving investors in a way that serves the mutual interests of both countries
