Academi Industrial Collaboration: Damascus University Fine Arts Students Visit Furniture Companies in Adra Industrial City

The Department of Interior Design at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Damascus University, organized a scientific field visit for 52 students to several furniture and decoration manufacturing companies in Adra Industrial City. This initiative aims to strengthen the integration between academic studies and labor market requirements.

Dr. George Mahfoud, Head of the Interior Architecture Department and leader of the delegation, explained that the visit seeks to transition students from theoretical blueprints to practical execution, allowing them a deeper understanding of their specialization. He added that the tour focused on the product workflow, from the initial design stage to final production, in addition to exploring modern technologies used in woodworking and furniture industries. This experience contributes to refining students' skills and enhancing their readiness for the professional environment by engaging directly with real production challenges
