A Strategic Partnership Between the Damascus Chamber of Industry and Joybox to Introduce Artificial Intelligence into Syrian Industry
Embodying the integration between technology and industry, and in a relentless pursuit to enable national products to claim a leading position on the global map, the Damascus and Countryside Chamber of Industry allied with pioneers of digital solutions to translate this ambition into reality. In cooperation with "Joybox", a leading company in software solutions and artificial intelligence, the Chamber held a panel discussion and a specialized technical lecture entitled "Digital Technologies in the Service of National Industry." The session was attended by Mr. Moataz Tarabichi, Vice President of the Chamber, and Eng. Osama Al-Masri, General Manager of the company, along with a number of industrialists and interested parties from various productive sectors.
At the beginning of the session, Mr. Moataz Tarabichi expressed the Chamber's pride in the constructive partnership with "Joybox", describing this session as a qualitative and pivotal step in the path of industrial development. He stressed the paramount importance of introducing artificial intelligence technologies into industrial science in general, pointing to the high added value that this transformation offers to develop production and bring it to advanced levels that guarantee it a strong and competitive position in international markets. He also expressed his hope that this effort would be reflected in a practical and tangible way to advance Syrian industry.
For his part, Eng. Osama Al-Masri, General Manager of "Joybox", expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Chamber's management for providing the company with the opportunity to present one of its most important products, which is the automated management system for industrial facilities. Al-Masri explained that the system offers qualitative features for industrialists that rely on the use of artificial intelligence technologies, aiming to improve overall performance, increase productivity, and enhance competitiveness in the markets. He also pointed to the company's keenness to provide an innovative feature represented in digital content creation, expressing his continuous wishes for achieving development, success, and excellence for the country's industrial sector to enable it to reach the highest ranks locally and internationally.
The session, presented by Eng. Amr Al-Masri, Head of the Artificial Intelligence Department at the company, focused on strategic pillars aimed at advancing industrial facilities. He highlighted the need to transition from old paper-based methods, Excel files, and traditional accounting software, and move towards adopting advanced Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to ensure higher operational efficiency and more accurate data. He reviewed the tremendous potential of ERP systems powered by Agentic AI, which represent a qualitative leap in process automation and smart decision-making within facilities. Finally, he touched upon the marketing challenges faced by some industrial facilities in promoting their products, noting that the company provides integrated solutions including premium media coverage, advertisement production, and enhancing the digital presence of facilities in the market.
