The Lattakia Chamber of Commerce and Industry welcomed students from the Faculty of Commerce at Al-Manara University as part of a scientific visit. The initiative aimed to bridge the gap between academic theory and practical application, while introducing students to the Chamber's pivotal role in supporting economic, commercial, and industrial activities.During the meeting, Mr. Anas Joud, Chairman of the Lattakia Chamber of Commerce and Industry, discussed several economic issues with the students. These topics were closely linked to the current realities of the local market and the prospects for economic development. He emphasized the importance of fostering a business environment built on an organized, competitive economy that drives growth, encourages investment, and strikes a balance between economic freedom and the public interest.The discussion also highlighted the significance of supporting exports and their role in stimulating production and boosting economic activity. Additionally, the meeting covered international trade concepts, mechanisms for evaluating trade partners, and the vital role of customs regulations and tariffs in protecting national products and enhancing their competitiveness.Furthermore, the students learned about the Chamber’s role in building economic relations with regional and international partners.
